Description

The LSP Demand/Resuscitator Valve is designed to provide 100% oxygen to a breathing or non-breathing patient in an emergency situation. The valve is designed for use with a mask, endotracheal tube, or tracheotomy tube.

The Demand Resuscitation Valve complies with AHA guidelines recommending that 100% oxygen be given to victims of a heart attack and/or smoke inhalation. The valve can be used in conjunction with a portable oxygen cylinder equipped with a pressure regulator or with a central oxygen source. The valve operates on a regulated oxygen supply of 40-60 psig (275 to 413 kPa) and reduces this pressure to a physiologically acceptable level with a pressure limit of 60±5 cm H2O. This prevents excessive buildup of intrapulmonary pressures and over-inflation of the lungs.

The slight negative pressure created by a spontaneously breathing patient’s inspiratory effort triggers the valve from a non-flow state to a flowing state. The greater the inspiratory effort, the higher the flow. When the inspiratory effort stops, the flow stops. The non-breathing valve permits it to be used as a resuscitator in combination with a manually operated button located on top of the valve.

The Demand/Resuscitator Valve provides an accurate constant flow rate of 40 lpm to help prevent gastric inflation, as recommended by the AHA. It is also available with a minimum flow rate setting of 160 lpm.

Shipping Terms:

 

Orders will be shipped via UPS Standard Ground unless other handling is requested or deemed more economical. Freight will be prepaid and added to the invoice. QuadMed will pay standard ground shipment costs on all orders over $150.00  for any shipment delivered in the U.S. except for Alaska and Hawaii.

 

Any orders under $150.00 will be charged a $14.95 handling fee for any shipment delivered in the U.S. except for Alaska and Hawaii. Orders going to Alaska or Hawaii actual shipping rates apply.  For all resellers, freight will be prepaid and added to the invoice. Shipments will be made to business addresses only.

 

 

International Orders:

 

There is a $1000.00 minimum for orders placed for delivery outside of the United States. International orders must prepay via wire transfer. Receipt of wire transfer is required before any shipments are made on the order. If the products ordered require a Medical Authorization letter, it must be submitted in English.

 

 

Returned Goods:

 

Written authorization must be obtained prior to returning merchandise. All returns should be sent within 30 days in resalable condition. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking charge. Merchandise held longer than 90 days, or custom items, are not returnable. All returned items must be sent prepaid.
