The AmbuMan Airway Next Generation allows specialized training in airway management: for endotracheal intubation and alternative techniques like laryngeal mask or laryngeal tube. Please note that this manikin is not equipped with the Ambu Hygiene System for mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose ventilation.
The monitoring system indicator shows the instructor the volume of supplied air (in L) and the chest compression depth (in mm). It also provides visualization for compression within correct hand position and gastric inflation with a warning symbol. Training of airway management includes laryngeal masks, plus laryngeal or tracheal tube insertion, bag-mask ventilation and use of the Guedel airway. The manikin's airways open only with correct hyperextension.
